PROJECTS

LADEE NMS and UVS

MAE Aerospace performed structural analysis and guided structural design of NASA LADEE mission instruments NMS (Neutral Mass Spectrometer) and UVS (Ultraviolet and Visible Light Spectrometer). NMS was developed by AMU Engineering and NASA GSFC scientists. LADEE lunched in 2013

Dragonfly DraMS

DraMS is a mass spectrometer instrument going to Titan on Dragonfly mission. MAE Aerospace guided structural design of DraMS Primary structure and every sub system like ITMS, Laser, GPS from concept phase to final design. Successfully tested several subsystems.

DaVinci VMS

VMS (Venus Mass Spectrometer) is an instrument aboard NASA's DAVINCI (Deep Atmosphere Venus Investigation of Noble gases, Chemistry, and Imaging) mission. MAE Aerospace is guiding the structural design and performing analysis.

MAVEN NGIMS

MAE Aerospace performed structural analysis and guided structural design of NASA MAVEN mission instrument NGIMS (Neutral Gas and Ion Mass Spectrometer) NGIMS is a 70 million USD instrument, developed by AMU Engineering and NASA GSFC scientists. MAVEN Lunched in 2013 and currently orbiting MARS.

MOMA - Mars Organic Molecule Analyser

MOMA is the largest instrument in the ExoMars Rover, European Space Agency's 2020 Mars Mission. All structural analysis of MOMA was performed and structural design was guided by MAE Aerospace. MOMA is a 180 Million USD instrument built by NASA GSFC for ESA.

BITSE Coronagraph Structure

MAE Aerospace performed structural analysis and guided structural design of BITSE (Balloon-borne Investigation of Temperature and Speed of Electrons) mission's Coronagraph Structure.

CODEX

Our partner, VSC, collaborated with NASA and the Korea Astronomy & Space Science Institute (KASI) scientists and optical engineers to design and build the COronal Diagnostic Experiment (CODEX) instrument. MAE Aerospace led the structural design and performed the structural analysis. CODEX was successfully tested under the supervision of MAE Aerospace and launched in 2024, where it was installed on the International Space Station (ISS).

Composite RADOM Structures

MAE Aerospace evaluated the structural integrity of the composite RADOME structures for NASA's Guam Remote Ground Terminal radar systems through detailed Finite Element Analysis. Suggested modifications implemented to improve structural integrity

SEAL

SEAL is a refurbished Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer. MAE Aerospace performed structural analysis and designed a custom bracket to mount it to the lander, effectively decoupling critical instrument modes and attenuating vibration inputs at those frequencies.

Roman Space Telescope

MAE Aerospace worked on critical ground support equipment and mass simulator design.

Hermes

MAE Aerospace analyzed and successfully tested two instruments, Merit and AIA, on Hermes mission. HERMES is an instrument package that will be placed upon the Gateway, an orbital outpost which will support Artemis lunar operations while demonstrating the technologies necessary to conduct a historic human mission to Mars

LEMS

Structural design and analysis support. Successfully tested at NASA GEVS Qualification levels.

GDC Mosaic

Structural design and analysis support.

Dissipation Mosaic

Structural design and analysis support.

Plasma
